Pathways to STEM for Graham Ingle

Donation protected

My dear friend Beth Ingle's son Graham was selected to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM.  This summer camp will take place at Loyola University this summer.   Graham was nominated by his teacher Ms. Lindsey Duerr.  Only one other student at his school was selected to participate,  so this is quite an honor!

Pathways to STEM is designed to give elementary students like Graham--identified by his teachers as a future leader--an opportunity to discover their personal strengths and to begin to acquire the leadership and lifelong skills needed for academic and career success.  The children will engage in such activities as building robots and touring anatomy labs, among many other science and technology-related activities.

The camp costs $2000 plus incidentals, which is no small amount for most of us. Beth is a History Professor at Rock Valley College, and as many of you know, the opportunity to pick up extra classes--which many faculty do in order to earn money for extras like this-- has been limited by drops in enrollment.  As a single mom who is also caring for her father as he recovers from serious illness, she does not have a lot of extra time in her schedule to pick up a part-time job.

I want to help Graham be able to go to this camp, but I also want to show my support and love for Beth, who is one of kindest, most caring, and most generous human beings I know.  Let's lift her up and help her give Graham this opportunity to shine!
