Pate Family Medical Donations

On February 5th, around 12:30-1:00 pm, Bob (Blue/Airplane Bob) Pate and his Wife, Kathy (Kay/Kata) Pate, nee Hauer of 50+ years were involved in a very bad accident. 

So many of you know my parents. Most loving, respected and truly caring that they show to anyone in need, in a second, no thought needed, they just help others. 

You may also know my parents are in their late 70's the early 80's. Bob is retired and they are on a tight income even though Kathy works a full time job.

However with her employer, she will not be getting paid while she is out of work. She will have used up as much time as she can from vacation and sick pay.  They also both receive their pay once a month only.

This is a HUGE strain on their already fixed income. I filled one medication tonight for her. $100.00, Lets not forget the oxygen that they now pay for. Plus all the newly prescribed medication, on top of their original medication. 

I know that a lot of you have unfortunately lost one or both parents already in your life. That scares me, knowing one day, we all go back home to heaven. If there is ANY way/s that I can lessen the financial burden and stress on them, I sure will try and never give up trying! 

They do have insurance and they were at fault (someone speeding as they were pulling out, the law is the law, they pulled out into the path of the other driver, unfortunately), they have lost their car and will only receive the blue book value, as with most insurance companies. 

I will be giving them my car so there is a safe vehicle that can drive once again. As their only daughter, you know how my heart is broken watching your parents suffering in more ways than one.
