Patchouli's Back Surgery Bills

Patchouli took a hard fall a couple of weeks ago that resulted in a slipped disk that pinched his spinal cord. His only chance of walking again was to receive emergency surgery. Although it was expensive, this little guy is so loved and deserves the best chance at life! 

 In July of 2020, my girlfriend and I took in Patchouli (at the time his name was Adrian) as a temporary foster. We saw a video of him on Instagram and wanted to help. We brought him home from the rescue on July 1st, by July 6th we were signing adoption papers because his big personality and sweet snuggles stole our hearts.
Patchouli was rescued off of the streets of Tijuana only one month before he came into our lives. He was malnourished, his hair was matted so bad that he had to be shaved down to the skin, and he was very fearful of people and dogs.  We immediately bonded and started his rehabilitation process. In the span of six months, he learned how to make doggy friends and slowly began to trust strangers. He loves adventures such as hiking, fishing, running in the snow, and of course, his daily walks! 


Patchouli had the surgery on January 18th and was in the hospital until January 22nd. Since coming home he has slowly but surely begun to regain movement in his back legs and is slowly wagging his tail once again. He is working so hard to get better! He has much more life to live! 
We are substitute teachers, a coach, a nanny and we are both in teaching credential programs trying to pay for school in the midst of the pandemic. Any and all donations will be used for Patchouli's medical bills which include, but are not limited to: sedation on multiple occasions, x-rays, an MRI, surgery, and an ICU hospital stay.
