Pat Waters

In early November, doctors unexpectedly diagnosed Pat with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma, Stage 4. Pat had emergent surgery to remove the tumor in Spokane and will soon be making the trip to Seattle for chemotherapy and radiation treatment at the University of Washington. 

Pat Waters was born in Mountain View, Missouri and moved to the Silver Valley when he was three years old. Pat’s parents, Gary and Joyce Waters, started Waters Garbage in 1970 where Pat has worked his entire life. Pat married his high school sweetheart Dianne and together they have 3 children. Stephanie, Jacob (Abbie) and Jillian.  Pat has always devoted his time for the children of the Silver Valley as a coach of little league, wrestling, flag football and has coached the Wallace High School wrestlers for the past 20 years. Ask anyone who knows him and they will tell you, he truly cares about the kids in the Valley. What makes him such a great coach is that he’s not just teaching them a sport; he cares enough to show young athletes how to become strong, independent, respectable, men and women. 

 Pat has never been one to sit still for too long. Pat is also actively involved in the Shriner's Hospitals for Children organization. He is the President of the Shoshone Shrine Club. With Pat’s support, the Shoshone Shrine Club helps with an ATV Ride that has produced over $100,000 in revenue for the kids to travel to Shrine Hospitals across the US. He is an active member of the Calam Temple, where he is on the divan as the First Ceremonial Master. He is also the Treasurer of the Wallace Masonic Lodge. He is always there to lend a helping hand and a smile to anyone who crosses his path. Pat is a member of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
