A Home for Thomas (Pastor with ALS)

Donation protected
Rev. Thomas Whray is a 50 year old Pastor from North Carolina, who has been diagnosed with Bulbar ALS.

In 1996 Thomas felt a call into ministry and missions.  Answering that call, he sold his family's home and used the equity to fund attendance at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Upon  graduation, Thomas began pastoring churches while also working full time as a machinist.  In addition to pastoring, Thomas led mission projects that resulted in housing for numerous needy people and orphans.

Since becoming a pastor, Thomas and family have never  owned a home of their own and have always lived in a parsonage or rental house.  Now as a result of his ALS, Thomas is unable to speak clearly and is no longer able to work as a pastor.  As such, he is losing his housing and will need full time care.  Due to the rapid progression of this disease, time is of the essence.

A Home For Thomas is a campaign to begin raising funds to construct a modest home (1,100 sq feet) for Thomas and his family.  The home will  be located next to the home of a family member so that they can easily participate in Thomas' care.

Please consider helping Thomas.  During his career as a pastor, Thomas has given much to the people he has served.  Your donation of any amount will help and is greatly appreciated.
