Support Pastor Ivanildo's Recovery Fund.
On 12/31/2019 our lives began to change. Our dad, Ivanildo Trindade, was taken to the ER in Mansfield, OH, for what we all thought were complications from the flu. Instead, CT scans at the ER revealed a massive hemorrhage and clot on the right side of his brain. He was immediately transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, where the neurologist and his team performed an emergency Craniotomy to remove the hemorrhage and clot from his brain.
An Angiogram revealed that our dad had been born with an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in his brain, which is a rare condition that affects less than 1% of the population! This tangle of abnormal blood vessels disrupted the vital flow of blood from his heart to his brain, resulting in the hemorrhage and clot. Once our dad was strong enough to undergo a second procedure, an embolization was performed to correct the malformation. These procedures were done by some of the best medical specialists in the areas involved, including a doctor from India and one from Bahrain.
Because of the highly specialized skills required and the need to stay in the ICU after each procedure, the medical bills skyrocketed. Our parents are part of a Christian sharing network for health care. Though it works well, they put a cap on how much they contribute to large medical bills. For this reason, our parents are still responsible for at least $125,000 , to date.
We are setting up this campaign to help them pay for their portion of the medical bills, trusting that God will provide through faithful friends. Please, consider contributing. Any amount will help.
Our dad is home now and he is recovering very well, thanks to God. We will update you as often as we can about his progress. We will also let you know how the fundraising is going and maybe even have him record an update here and there for you.
