Steve's birthday is June 20th. Happy Birthday! In lieu of gifts or cards this year, he would like to raise funds for a project with his non-profit Partnering Institute of Africa (PIA). PIA unites the private sector, government, academia, and NGOs to deliver life-changing results for individuals. PIA’s Utah/Tanzania Initiative will provide medical/dental services to Utah’s refugee population and Tanzania’s orphans and vulnerable communities through the purchase and operation of mobile clinics operated under the supervision of the University of Utah and Muhimbili University (Tanzania).
To make these services a reality, PIA must raise $30,000 in individual donations. In turn, these donations will leverage another $90,000 for the project through matching funds from charitable and service organizations. Every dollar makes a big difference. No one at PIA receives compensation.
