We're fundraising to buy foam mattresses and biosecurity supplies to sanitize and alleviate COVID-19 spread for and of those affected by Hurricane Eta and Iota in Honduras
At the beginning of November, Honduras was hit by Hurricane Eta and Hurricane Iota, leaving hundreds of thousands without a home, shelter, families, friends, possessions, jobs, etc., and the economy even more broken than it already was.
Para Vos Honduras is a not-for-profit operation created early in the pandemic to supports charitable projects and raises awareness on Honduran small businesses. Now, it's fundraising for emergency relief and restoration of the lives of those affected by hurricanes Eta and Iota.
"The Container" Project, started on Nov 6 in Utah, with a wide group of mainly Honduran volunteers, and in 10 days, $20k were fundraised through Venmo and collected enough donations from all over Utah to fill up 2 containers. These are expected to arrive in mid-December in Honduras. The funds served to pay shipping and packing expenses.
Although "the Container" is still going and won't stop until the aid gets to the hands of those that need it the most,
Para Vos Honduras is now fundraising $10,000 to purchase foam mattresses for shelters and families that are sleeping on bare floors, as well as biosecurity supplies to alleviate the spread of COVID-19 during this difficult time.
In joint efforts with the Blackburn Family from Santaquin, Utah, under #HondurasER Project, this fundraiser extends to theirs in restoring communities through their short, mid, and long term vision. Blackburn Family GoFundMe
The more we can fundraise, the more families we can aid, and the more communities we can lift up again.
