Paranoid- Short Film

Story

Paranoid is a story about a 17 year old younger brother Charlie, whose life is thrown out of balance when he witnesses his older brother Jake’s unexpected psychotic episode. In the aftermath, Charlie must come to terms with Jake's mental illness after learning that he is Schizophrenic.

Paranoid is based on the screenwriter Jordan's personal experience with her older brother. She never thought that she would be in the position of harm from her own sibling. But even after witnessing such an unexpected psychotic episode, she knew that she needed to support, accept, and love her brother regardless of his mental condition. "When I sat down to write the script, my overall goal was to educate people more about schizophrenia, as well as send a message that having a mental illness should never define a person." -Jordan Krekorian.

Where will the money go?

Equipment

Our cinematographer Enrique de la Garza believes that in order to do this film justice, the audience must experience and feel the story's emotional tone through the use of anamorphic lenses with the brain of the beautiful Alexa Mini camera. Therefore, camera equipment rental and gear will be taking up to $1,800 of our budget.

Location

In order to make this film feel and look the way it was written, we set out to find and rent the perfect fully furnished family home.

Food

Behind the scenes of every film, it takes a large team of hardworking and motivated talented individuals to contribute their time and commitment on set. Therefore, providing them with nutritious food will keep them active and ready.

Post Production

Music and Sound Design are one of the most powerful tools to convey mood in a film. That is why a portion of the funds will go towards creating the perfect score, so that the audience can feel the emotions of the characters in the film.
