Paralyzed Veteran & Sheriff Detective Needs Help

Please help a Father who has served our Country and community.
A father, former Military Veteran and Sheriff Detective needs help. All he wants is transportation to be able to to go see his daughter play softball and have transportation for doctor visits. Because of his size and the wheelchair size it requires a special van. 

Josh’s Story

Joshua Daniel Prado Injury: On December 25th, 2021 I was involved in an ATV accident role over where I was rushed to the hospital by care flight. I was diagnosed at the hospital with C4/C5 Spinal Cord Injury leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. I was told by the Doctors that I would never be able to move my arms or legs. Through months of rehabilitation, I have regained left and right arm function however no finger function in both hands. Army: Enlisted in April 2007 where after basic training I graduated as a military policeman. I was deployed to South Korea from 2007-2009 . In 2010 I was stationed at FT. Carson, Colorado. Shortly after, I was deployed overseas to Germany and immediately deployed to Afghanistan from 2010-2011 and deployed to Afghanistan for a second tour from 2012-2013. At the end of 2013, I deployed to Kosovo to support the NATO peacekeeping mission. In October 2014, I concluded my Active-Duty Service and continued my service by enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserves. I served in the Army Reserves from the years 2014-2022. Unfortunately, ending my service with the Reserves due to my injury. Lee County Sheriff's Office: I joined the Lee County Sheriffs' Office on November 11th, 2015 where I was a patrolman from 2015-2018. I was selected above my peers and placed in a proactive street crime unit from 2018-2019. In May 2019, I was promoted to Detective and began my career as a detective in the criminal investigation division. In November 2019, I was selected to join the prestigious undercover Narcotics unit. In January 2021, I was laterally promoted to the violent offender's unit as a detective with a narcotics detection K-9. Due to my injury, I resigned from the Lee County Sheriff's Office on June 30th, 2022.
