Papua New Guinea YEAR+ mission
Donation protected
I have been accepted into a mission trip program with YWAM (youth with a mission) to further my training in Australia and learn the skills to help others in Papua New Guinea. I have completed the first portion of this schooling, but I want to do more for the health of these people. Some of the topics I would focus on include: immunizations, health, sanitation, life skills, communication, ministry and vocation. The schooling I have a passion to continue that YWAM offers, is IPHC (Introduction to Primary Healhthcare). I have participated in ministries and mission work before (two weeks in the Dominican Republic, 2013) , but never in an area that has so much need for this kind of help. I realize the tremendous challenges, but also the awesome opportunity to make a positive impact in one of the least explored nations in the world. Ever since I saw the poverty in the D.R. I have felt a calling to help those in need. I recognize that being born in America gives me a huge advantage in life. Being aware of this, I want to help others who do not have that same good fortune. This is a big part of what I plan to do with my life. I want to devote my time on this planet to helping people get the healing they need. In Papua New Guinea, basic life necessities have been denied to its citizens and I believe it's time for me to step up and help in any way I can. I can't do this alone and any form of support is helpful, whether it be prayer or financial. I appreciate your help in fulfilling my vocation.
