Papi & Rumba Take NYC

Vacation in DR turned into a dog rescue operation after meeting "Rumba" (brindle pup) within an hour of arriving to our hotel. We knew this pup was extra special. She lives on the local beach and some little beach shacks but has no real home. We hung out all day, everyday and one night we went to feed her and that's when we found "Papi" a 5 month old puppy in the dark on a beautiful beach in paradise, hungry and beyond thirsty. After a few days of hanging out with these two, sneaking food, cuddle beach time and hearing how local resorts poison these dogs (Rumba was poisoned two months ago but pulled through) we knew we had to do something. We were not l
eaving DR without them, no matter what we had to do. We came in contact with an amazing local rescue group Collares Rojos, they have been a heaven sent! With their help we got both pups off the hot beach, took them the vet for a check up and secured them a home in DR for two weeks! Both pups will be shipped to us in NYC in just two weeks after getting the rest of their shots and papers in order. Both Rumba and Papi are young and healthy and just in need of some good cuddle time and daily kisses.

s is going to be a little costly. Any money raised to help with these cost would be greatly appreciated. All extra money raised will be going to the rescue that they are staying at, Collares Rojos. They are have about 30 dogs in the shelter and are always very low on food for them and meds for them.  They go week to week on food, this is holding them back from taking more dogs in off the streets and away from bad owners and homes.
