My dad, Bret Kesselring is the funniest, hardest working man I know. My mom and him started their journey together 36 years ago when they got married. Since then, they have had four wonderful daughters. My parents were the kind of people to get totally involved. My sisters and I had the best childhood because our parents were always there for us. They attended all of our sporting events, and my dad was usually our coach.

Now, my parents have turned into grandparents. They have twelve grandkids and counting. When we are able to be together, my parents love taking all of us on the boat, fishing with us, swimming. Our babies have very special grandparents.

2017 has provided a few bumps in the road, but we are determined to tackle all of them. Dad lost his job in August, but he managed to find a new job selling foundation services. This job is 100% commission and the next bump in the road has made it so he can’t work for the time being. Dad had been having chest and back pain since August. He went to urgent care and was sent home with medicine to take care of what they thought was inflammation. Unfortunately, the pain continued to get worse so he returned to the doctor on October 24 to finally get this taken care of. The chest X-Ray showed a difference in his chest from August so they sent him to the ER with suspicions of pneumonia. The suspicions were wrong and it turned out to be cancer. He has a mass behind his heart and spots on his skull, spine, ribs, and thigh. A whirlwind of tests were then performed to find out exactly what we were up against. Dad was then diagnosed with stage four, incurable lung cancer. This was a hard diagnosis to swallow, but we have hear of miracle cases. My dad is determined to be one of those cases. We know that he can get it done. If you know my father, you know he will do what it takes to beat this disease. Please stand with us and help up beat this cancer. We will be tackling a lot of medical bills in the coming months, and it would be so appreciated if you could help us out. Please keep my father in your prayers and donate to help my dad get back to loving and spending time with his family.
