Veteran Pao Yang's funeral fund

My Dad passed away and left behind 7 sons and 5 daughters. He was only 62 years old. We lost him to heart failure. Dad is a refugee that fled war torn country to make a new life here in America. Our Dad lost his leg during the Vietnam war. Despite of his handicapped, he was always a strong man. Stern father figure. He loved all his kids and raised everyone well. All his kids are just a reflection of his teachings. Our Dad has lived a fulfiling life. He was a very stubborn man, and I am glad so. That made him the anchor of our family. He lived life the way he wanted and the legacy he left behind is through his kids and grandchildren. Everyone is so close knit and everyone watches out for one another all because of my Dad.

Our family is suffering a great lost at the moment. My Dad is always the first to joke and make you laugh, and that's where I got my sense of humor from. He loved to draw, paint, listen to music.  Our family is very poor. I am very sorry Dad that you had to go this way, you died a poor man but you have the richest heart and you enjoyed life to the fullest. Your sons and daughters we all regret that we couldn't spend more time with you. We all wish that there was a road to come to you. We wish this was just all a dream. We were never ready financially. We all never imagined that this time it would be us who has to bury our Dad. We love our Dad so much and I am balling and crying just writing about how Great my Dad is.

As I mentioned, everything that has happened is all very suddenly. His youngest son is only 12 years old and my heart hurts the most for him. He screamed and cried in the hospital room when Dad passed away.  I know as an adult, we will try and get through this but it is very difficult, even for a 28 year old like me. We wish to honor my dad the best way we can. Hmong funerals are usualy held 3 + days long. But because we cannot afford the cost of a long ceremony, we decided among all the children that 1 day funeral will be what we can do to honor my Dad's legacy.

Dad, I wish you are looking down upon us. I hope you know how much we all love you and how much you meant to us. The words you speak to all of us, we all will hold dearly. You are no longer in pain. You are no longer suffering.  You are now free of this life that you have suffered so much from.

We as children are looking for financial assisstance for my Dad's final expenses, mainly his Funeral Cost. Anything will be greatly appreciated.  It all happened so fast, it blind sided the family. We had no time to prepare. It felt like yesterday when i was just talking to you Dad :(..   We wish this is just all a dream but wishing to the ends of the world will not bring my Dad back. I apologize if this post is too long but I want everyone to know just how much he meant to us and that now all his children are suffering without their Dad. With a little help from anyone who can spare some change, it will greatly help lift some weights off of  our shoulders. ANYTHING helps  My Dad's funeral will be held December 23 so we really apprecaite all the help we can get within this wee. He will be buried December 24th. Christmas without our Dad. May you rest in Peace my loving Txiv (Dad) and may you look down upon us and protect us.  We love you so much and no words can ever explain the pain everyone is going through.  My oldest Brother will be in charge of the taking care of the final expenses and any help we can get from here, will all go towards Dad's expenses. Thank You so much.
