Pandemic Relief Needed

Hi everyone,

I'm Kenzi if you don't know me yet. 

I was working in San Francisco at Yoga Flow SF when the pandemic struck and I immediately lost my job. 

I applied for unemployment right away, sent all necessary documents and was kept in a long limbo until YESTERDAY when I was informed through a computer-automated system that I have been "disqualified". 

I have waited a collective 20-30 hours on the phone since all of this has begun without any answer.

I have called every office I can in California to no avail. 

That is why I am doing what I have to do and reaching out to you, the people I know, and your friends/family to ask for some assistance during this crazy time. 

There was a lot of hesitation, discomfort and sadness in creating this post. I have been working hard to sell everything of value that I own and it is just not enough to keep myself afloat right now. 

The reason I set a goal of $2000 is so that I can hopefully squirrel-fund anything I make away and get through this time which seems like it will last until the end of summer. I do not intend to spend any money donated on anything other than food and housing. 

This is the uncomfortable position I am in and it's not preferable, but I have to ask for help. 

If you do not have it, PLEASE don't feel obligated!
But I do ask that you share this with whoever you can.

We can all get through this together. 

I have faith in the web of humanity, in our resilience and our humility.
