Pam's Cancer Fund

For all of you who know Pam Rizzi as either a friend or co-work know her wonderful laugh, can do attitude, and love for life bring smiles to everyone she touches.

Pam has been diagnosed with serious lung cancer, which is spreading rapidly.  She will begin daily radiation treatments the week of August 20th and has been perscribed oral chemotherapy. Pam's insurance will cover her 5 weeks of radiation, but may not cover the cost of the oral chemotherapy due to the high cost of the drug. Pam will most likely need como treatments for at least 4 months, if not longer. 

Pam has been unable to work due to her health, she has run out of money, sold most of her belongings, and is about to move into a women's homeless shelter, which is several miles from the cancer treatment center Pam will need to visit daily. 

Pam's Cancer Fund will help pay for treatment costs not covered by insurance. It will ensure Pam can secure proper housing near the cancer center, and she can have prepared meals delivered that will provide the balanced nutrition she will need to fight the cancer. Pam has no family nearby and has made few friends since moving to Texas. Pam's Cancer Fund will ensure she has the funds to cover transportation costs to and from her treatments, and will cover the costs of having a service check-in on her several times a week, which will be needed as she progresses through her treatment. 

Pam's situation is urgent. We need to secure housing for her immediately. Thank you for helping support our dear friend and collegue in her time of need.
