Pamela is a wonderful 17 year old Honors student. She is currently a Senior in High School with goals of joining the Navy and becoming a Doctor. She is a bright, talented, and kind individual who has so much ahead of her.
On November 9th as we were getting ready for dinner she began acting unlike herself. Her symptoms became worse suffering in a dramatic change in behavior so she was taken immediately to the hospital. After checking into the hospital, Pamela was misdiagnosed and admitted to a child psychiatric ward. She had become weak and started to have seizures and became unresponsive.
On November 19th, 2017 Pamela was diagnosed with a rare disease called Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis and a bacteria in her body called Mycoplasma Pneumoniae. Having both Mycoplasma pneumonia and NMDA Encephalitis is a very rare combination that her body is trying to battle. My sister is now on a respiratory tube and getting first line treatment.

We are working hard to ensure Pamela’s convalescence is swift, so she can return to her beautiful life and family who loves her very much. Unfortunately, it is unknown as to how long she will be in the hospital. Your donations will help to offset the costs of her rehabilitation. Thank you for your generosity.

Pamela es mi preciosa hermana tiene 17 años, estudiante con honores y poryectos de partcipar en la Marina y graduarse como Medico cirujano. Es talentosa exelente hija, amorosa, inteligenete una niña tan dulce.
Noviembre 9 estabamos listas para salir a cenar y emprezo actuar como si no fuera ella. Su comportamineto empezo a cambiar dramaticamente fue llevada al hospital inmediatamente, donde fue Mal diagnosticada. La enviaron a una casa psiquiatra para niños donde empezo a empeorar con alteraciones neurologicas. De ese lugar fue transladada a otro Hospital porque No responida.
En Noviembre 19, 2017 Pamela fue diagnosticada con Mycoplasma Pneomoniae y Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. una henfermedad muy rara, nada comun se presenta cuando los anticuerpos producidos por el mismo sistema inmunologico atacan a los receptores NMDA que se encuentran en su mayoria en su cerebro.
Esta en Cuidado intensivo con respirador artificial. Esta ahora en su primer fase del tratamiento.
Mi Mama y Yo estamos cuidando de Ella para que regrese a su vida normal y con la familia que la quiere tanto la amamos y la extranamos mucho.
Lo que no sabemos el tiempo que permanecera en el hospital, despues va a nesecitar rehabilitacion. Su donation su apoyo sera una extraordinaria ayuda, te agradecemos enormemente. Bendiciones a todos ustedes.
