Medical Mission to Nigeria

Hi friends and family Its now three years later and we are partnering with Regina Caeli Specialist hospital in Awka Nigeria ( Biafra) please see new campaign which also gives infromation updating progress in last 3 years. Monies for Medical machinery
This was our 2014 mission-
My husband Dr.John Gallagher and I, along with other medical practioners were to travel to Nigeria in June to help those in need of surgical/medical care who otherwise would not have access. Due to turmoil in this area it is postponed but with your financial assistance, we will still be able to help both children and adults in remote areas.
There is a small poorly equipped hospital there.
The budget for the trip was about $40,000. This will now be used to set up a medical clinic and supply the hospital. They need many basics such as medicine for burns, malaria parasites and ulcers, antibiotics and anesthesia related medications and surgical packs. We are hoping to be able to send 1 or 2 refurbished anesthesia machines ($8,000), rhinolarygoscope($3000) and even a mini CT scanner($15,000) to leave with the Doctors there.
Great news 2017 (Other basics like a ENT microscope(4900) for ear infections , bronchoscope and foreceps and biopsy supplies are also needed.) This has been sent and the clinic is set up.
