Pamela's Bypass Recovery

Donation protected
Hi. My name is Lyndsey,  I am the daughter of Pamela. I am writing on behalf of my mom and best friend. Just a few short weeks ago she was living life as normal not knowing there was anything major going on with her health. Some mild discomfort for the passed few years caused her to go into the doctor and request some testing. Thankfully they decided to do some invasive testing and throughout this process just a short week ago while she was waking up from this testing procedure the cardiologist came out and told me my mother has severe heart disease and will need bipass surgery. I swear my own heart stopped at this moment. My mom has never asked for help, she is always helping other people. She has helped me raise my children since they were born, and any time I've ever needed her she is there.  I don't know who I would turn to if I didn't have her. She not only helps me she helps anyone she can. She houses and takes care of her disabled brother, she lives alone other then him and has no real help. During the next couple of months of recovery she will have no way to pay her bills, take care of her house etc. My mother works for a small business that does not provide her with paid medical leave. Coronary bipass surgery is an open heart surgery . During this 4-6 hour surgery they will open her chest and her heart will be stopped for approximately 60min. This is major.  Following surgery she will be in the ICU on a ventilator, she will be in the hospital from 4-8 days. Her recovery will be long.... as you can imagine having your chest opened and heart opperated on is no simple surgery. She will be taking unexpected time off work and need some help during her recovery. My sister Shelly and myself will be helping as much as we can. I am having a baby at the end of April and her only worry was that she will recover in time to be there for me for my birth. My mom is the least selfish person I know. This morning my sister and myself went with her to meet her surgeon and we were told her surgery will be this very next Tuesday! As you can imagine we don't have much time to gather funds to help. We are asking for anyone to donate anything they can to repay her generosity. Her worry is supporting herself during recovery, I hope to alleviate some of that worry for her. She doesn't need anymore stress. Any amount helps and I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to read this and or provide your support. I also appoloize to any friends or family who find about the surgery this way. This has been a fast process and we are still coming to terms with it ourselves. Please message me with any questions as not to bombard my mother at this time. Thank you all and I will keep an update on her status to this page as soon as I know more.
