PAL COVID-19 Relief for 61 families in Ghana
Donation protected
The world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
Play and Learn Foundation is raising funds to support 61 families from two underserved communities; Okpongolo and La Bawaleshie in Ghana to help them through these trying times. The novel coronavirus compelled citizens in Ghana to observe the lockdown protocol. Many families who rely on meager income to survive on a daily basis are greatly affected.
PAL children and their families are having a hard time adjusting due to their economic situation. Families are tempted to flout the rules of lockdown in order to afford certain basic necessities for their children thereby exposing themselves and families to this virus.
PAL outlines a funding need of
$5,322 (30,500 Ghana cedis)
for the 61 families in need of help through April, May and June 2020.
Each family would receive:
3 month relief package of 500gh cedis (~$85 for each family) for their general upkeep throughout the lockdown period and beyond.
It is our fervent wish that you help us support these families afford food and other basic necessities. Please donate and share to help the PAL children especially, to give them and their parents a reason to respect the directives of staying at home in order to deter the spread of the virus.
The world is coming together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic; bringing governments, organizations, industries, sectors and individuals together to help respond to this global outbreak. The outpouring of global solidarity and support sparked by this shared challenge has been phenomenal.
