Paightons fun day

Donation protected
As most of you know when Paighton was born we was faced with a difficult time.
We spent 5 days in Leicester royal infirmary, firstly in intensive care then in the neonatal nursery where he was receiving 4 different types of antibiotics.
Paighton was born with bruised ribs, clicky left hip & a hole covering majority of his for arm.

2 days after being discharged we was back after noticing Paighton wasn’t moving his arm and was in a lot of pain when we was dressing/bathing him.

After numerous consultants and doctors & his story being shared between numerous agencies Paighton was diagnosed with muscle and nerve damage to his left arm - also known as - Erbs Palsy.

We was referred straight to physio therapy who faced us with the worse news, Paighton was high risk of being disabled.
We was told he may never hold his own bottle, feed himself, dress himself, crawl, balance when walking etc. The list was endless.
We also faced him needing an operation to release the nerves.

However a year later, physiotherapy every 4 weeks and a lot of hard work from myself, Ryan and everyone who’s been involved in Paightons journey, the physio team have discharged him!

We have one last meeting with his consultant in July to put him into ‘full recovery’

Our baby boy beat the odds & can do all & more that they said he wouldn’t.

To mark his discharge in July & celebrate his full recovery myself & Ryan would like to hold a charity event.
Splitting the money raised between the LRI neonatal who have given us the best care since the day he was born & Erbs palsy uk awareness group, where I’ve met parents in similar situations to us and some less lucky with their child’s recovery.

If anyone is able to help weather it’s through your time helping us organise, etc.
Please please get in contact with myself or Ryan.

& Thankyou again for being a part of our amazing soldiers success
