Paige's Urgent Medical Emergency!

On January 2nd, the last day of my sister Paige and her daughter Brooke's vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Paige was rushed by ambulance to Vallarta Medical Center. Paige was experiencing heart arrhythmias due to critically low levels of potassium. After struggling for 4 hours, Paige went into sudden cardiac arrest. The doctors proceeded to perform CPR for 8 minutes while Paige's heart was stopped. They revived her and transferred her to the ICU. Since then, Paige has been unconscious on a ventilator. Paige has remained in critical condition and is fighting for her life in Mexico. Though Paige is a fighter, she and her daughter need all the help they can get right now. Paige has mounting medical bills that are increasing daily. Due to the uncertainty of Paige's neurological and physical condition when she regains consciousness, expenses will continue while she is healing at the hospital and at home. The cost of Paige's medical care in Mexico is not being covered by insurance and needs to be paid in advance. Paige, nor Brooke, have the funds to do so and that is why we are asking for your help.

I know many of you have asked how you can support Paige and Brooke, so I wanted to set up this go-fund-me to make it easy for anyone to give if it’s on their hearts to do so. Your generosity and compassion will help cover medical expenses including the hospital bill in Mexico, travel expenses, and living expenses. With uncertainty of how long Paige will be in the ICU or in Mexico, Brooke will be staying in hotels due to the hospitals policy on COVID regulations to be by her mom's side until she well enough to return home.

Paige is a fighter - if there is anyone who can come out of this it is her. She is full of life - vibrant, kind, and compassionate. Those who know her know that she would do anything for those around her. Brooke is trying to stay strong, but is terrified and desperately wants her mom. Their relationship is extremely close and this is the longest Brooke has ever gone without speaking to her mom. This is the hardest thing that Brooke has ever had to experience, but some weight off her shoulders finically would allow her to be present with her mom and help get her mom home.
