IMPD Officer in Need

Donation protected

In wake of the heavy storms in Indianapolis on May 21st, lightning struck a southeast side apartment building at Fox Club Apartments around 5pm and sparked a fire. The apartment where lightning struck was occupied by Pablo Navarrete, a Northwest District IMPD officer who was also working as a courtesy officer at the apartments. Thankfully, he was not home... he received the news while on duty. His door was kicked in by IFD upon their arrival. Soon after he got there, he was able to go in and grab only his firearms before the apartment was boarded up and secured.

Later that night, around 1:30am, a fire was reported at the same location. It had rekindled. It caused further damage to anything that was previously able to salvaged. All of his furniture and most other belongings are burned, or have heavy smoke and/or water damage.

Pablo still has to continue to report to work to serve the public while dealing with this tragedy at home. While many things like furniture and electronics will eventually be replaced- photos, mementos, and other personal things will not be. Please help him replace a few of his belongings that he lost, and get him quickly back on his feet.

He would not think of asking anyone for help, so we want to give back to him as much as we possibly can. Show your support! ANY assistance is greatly appreciated!
