It is with great pain and a heavy heart that we announce the loss a fearless leader of our struggle for justice and also our loving friend. On behalf of the family of our beloved comrade Pablo Aceves, we turn to his loyal friends, comrades and allies for support during this difficult time. In honor of comrade Pablo, we ask for your generosity in the form of monetary donations towards his medical expenses and funeral arrangements.
Pablo committed 31 years of his life to Unión del Barrio and to the movimiento he loved so dearly. He made his raised fist and booming voice unmistakable elements at every political event he attended. He was a person of unwavering political principles, and an uncompromising dedicated fighter on the side of the poor, the exploited, and the oppressed the world over.
Pablo’s spirit of struggle motivated movement people, as he advanced the struggle for raza self-determination and freedom everyday. He never relented, even until his last day. At the time of his passing, Pablo was surrounded by family, friends, and comrades. He will be terribly missed within the ranks of Unión del Barrio and within our liberation struggle. But he will live on in every marcha, conference, or meeting, as we honor his legacy and his contributions to the raza struggle for Self-Determination, National Liberation, and Socialism.
The services for compañero Pablo Aceves will take place at the Glenn Abbey in Bonita (3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902). The velorio/viewing will take place on October 16th, 5:30-9:00 pm. The funeral will take place on October 17th at 1:00 pm. On another date, Unión del Barrio will hold a memorial and Celebration of Pablo’s life in the struggle. Con una infinita tristeza y dolor anunciamos la pérdida de un gran amigo y líder de nuestra lucha por la justicia. En nombre de la familia de nuestro querido camarada Pablo Aceves, acudimos a sus amigos, camaradas y aliados en busca de apoyo durante este difícil momento. En honor al camarada Pablo, le pedimos su generosidad en forma de donaciones monetarias para complementar sus gastos médicos y servicios funerarios.
Pablo dedicó 31 años de su vida a Unión del Barrio y al movimiento que tanto amó. Él hizo de su puño en alto y de su inconfundible voz, elementos vivos en cada evento político al que asistió. Era una persona de principios políticos inquebrantables, y un luchador intransigente en favor de los pobres, los explotados y los oprimidos de todo el mundo.
El espíritu de lucha de Pablo, a medida que avanzaba día a día en la lucha por la autodeterminación y la libertad de la Raza, motivo a mucha gente. Nunca cedió hasta su último día. En el momento de su fallecimiento, Pablo estaba rodeado de familiares, amigos y compañeros. Lo extrañaremos mucho dentro de las filas de Unión del Barrio y dentro de nuestra lucha de liberación. Pero vivirá en cada marcha, conferencia o reunión, ya que honraremos su legado y sus contribuciones a la lucha por la autodeterminación, la liberación nacional y el socialismo.
