In loving memory of honorary firefighter DJ Thane

Douglas Thane jr also known to  everyone as DJ, Such a courageous and loving young man that was an inspiration and left a mark on everyone he met. As long as I can remember DJ has always wanted to be a Fireman and was an amazing supporter of the local fire and police departments. When he was just two years old he was diagnosed with meningitis. He went through numerous surgeries and tests. At the age of 9 he was diagnosed with spinal and brain cancer which eventually hit his nervous system and left him paralyzed from the waist down and doctor’s said he had 3-6 months left to live, he proved them wrong and continued to fight for 20 more years. Through out the years he developed scoliosis that started to crush his internal organs and eventually gave him breathing complications. DJ was cared for by Many. Being raised by his grandparents Joe and Billie and brother Michael through out his life, DJ lived his life to the fullest with a smile on his face and always leaving a smile on everyone he came across. After losing his mom and both grandparents his Uncle Joey stepped in to become his caregiver alongside brother Michael. Although everyone did the best they could for DJ his body was getting weak and it was getting harder for him to breathe and eventually leading to his passing. We are asking for donations to help with his memorial service. We cared for him up until now the best we could and I would love to take care of him one last time by giving him the proper service this brave, loving young man deserves.
