Dear Friends and Family,
My father Dan Sr recently had surgery for cancer in his lowerJaw. His lower jaw needed to be removed and replaced with a partial portion of his leg bone. After succesful surgery, chemo-thearpy and radiation treatment was neccessary. As a result of the radation treatments directly to his jaw he had to have his teeth removed to prevent infection.
My father is on early Social security/disability because a few years ago he had guillain barre, which left him paralized and in intensive care for a 10 month period and then several more months of rehab. He recovered as best as he could from that, but not being able to move around to well or lift any heavy objects has prevented him from working . His medicare he recieves through Social Security would not cover dentures. He has been sending the dentist about 100-150 dollars per month and made an arangement that when he had about $3,500 paid upfront the denist would make his full set of dentures.
Most people might not even know my Dad was going through all this and I'm not really one to post on facebook about negative circumstances or hardships, but in this case it's very hard on my father to not be able to eat after his surgery and at the rate he is trying to pay off the dentist it will be quite long before he can afford dentures.. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Any donations recieved would go 100% to dentist and exsisting doctor bills.
