Tragic Accident

As I write this, I am in tears for my amazing cousin and her family.

Our family is not the "asking" type.

Most days you'll see us being the "giver."

Our sweet 15 year old son was involved in a tragic car accident in the evening hours of December 23rd, on Highway 30 in Pocatello.

He was doing what he loved, helping and being with his family, then heading to work at the job he loves. His little cousin was in the back seat and is safe and sound.

Our Jorden unfortunately received the majority of the injuries in the accident.

He had to be extricated, and that took EMS quite some time.

Many of his injuries are internal, so the severity was unknown for a few hours.

He has a slight break in his neck, a broken pelvis, a severely bruised lung, and there is blood on his brain. 

We later learned that an artery that feeds the right side of his brain was severed, so it was not receiving the necessary blood it needs. As he is 15, Primary Children's in Utah is the best and safest place for him.

The weather delayed that trip immensely.

Finally, the weather cleared enough for an airplane to come get him! He got loaded in an ambulance, and then the airplane, and finally made it to Utah at 1am on Christmas Eve.

We are so thankful to the doctors and nurses caring for our boy. 

Things are still not looking good, our boy is in critical condition.

If you know Jorden, you know he is a sweet, kind, loving, giving, caring boy.

He can generally be seen working hard at the job he loves, at Elmer's. Hanging with his friends. Tossing around a football. Playing Xbox. Or lending a helping hand to his family.

The medical bills are starting to stack up already, him Mom and Bonus Dad as well as Dad and Bonus Mom, would greatly appreciate any help you are willing and able to share. They were all able to make the trip to be with him, for now. As we all know, work doesn't wait and they will soon have to return home to their jobs. A parents worse nightmare.

For those inquiring minds who must know. The details of the crash are still under investigation. We know for a 100% fact that our boy WAS NOT on his phone. It was in his pocket and that is not even in question.
