Jon was hunting and the chair on his tree stand broke. He fell about 15 feet. Airlifted to Regions. Spent a week in ICU. Had two full day surgeries to place titanium baskets, steel rods, and metal plates and bolts along his vertebrate and spinal cord. Due to the injury to his spinal cord he is currently in rehab for 3 weeks working on getting movement back in his legs and walking. So far he is making rapid improvements! The doctors are hopeful he will have more leg function as time goes on and the swelling on his spinal cord lessens.
Jon is in good spirits and is hopeful things will improve! Even in the last 2 days I have seen improvement with his movement.
I am so thankful for all who have reached out and want to help. Sometimes that is the hardest thing to do...to ask for help and to know what to tell people, but I know people really do want to support and help out. In advance thank you so much to all you for helping us out, whether it's with prayers, financially, with visits and phone calls, and everything else. We wouldn't be getting through this without you! All your love and support!
