Help Us Recover From House Fire

Hello, my name is Madison May and I am creating this to help support our household and the family that was displaced next to us.

The above picture is the first picture we took of our family in our new house. Sydney, Akshay, Meagan, and I took this the night before at our house warming party. We had only been living there for barely a month. We worked hard to paint, set up new furniture, and create a home together with our 5 cats and went to bed.

At 5:10 am on Sunday August 15th, 2021 we woke up to Sydney and her girlfriend screaming that the house was on fire . We ran out to see our house engulfed in flames and the power lines sparking. The gas line got hit and started spreading to the house next to us as well displacing a family of 4 with 2 children. We watched as the Indianapolis fire department arrived and got to work. They sprayed thousands of gallons of water into the house, the roof caved in, and eventually the fire was out in about an hour, but our house was deemed a total loss. Everyone is safe and we found 4 of our cats, but our last cat, Lu is still missing.

We have lost everything. Our electronics, artwork, clothes, food are gone. Any memories, special mementos, and journals are ruined. It is heart breaking to have to start over when we put so much work and love into the house to make it our first home together. Please help if you can. We would appreciate any help if you can so we can restart and rebuild our lives again. Any cat supplies such as litter boxes, cat trees, toys would be appreciated as well.
