Portable Oxygen for my Son-In-Law

Donation protected

My  name is Robert Glandon and I am the very proud Father-in-law of Jamie Oeleis.  I still remember it like yesterday when Jamie came over to the house and asked for my blessing to marry Jessica.  If he was nervous I sure couldn't tell.  I had an idea that an engagement was on the horizon.  In the event Jamie asked for my blessing I had given a lot of thought as to what I would say.

Me:  Do you love Jessica?
Jamie:  Yes more than anything.

Me:  Do you promise to do everything in your power to keep her safe?
Jamie:  Absolutley.

Me:  Do you promise to raise my Grandchildren in a Christian Home.
Jamie:  Yes.

"Then you have my blessing."  And we sat in the backyard and had a glass of the Crown Reserve he had brought to the house.

Jessica and Jamie have been married for almost 4 years.  In that time they have bought a home in Aurora and a piece of land at Jackson Lake.  Tammy and I have been blessed that "the kids" live close and we get to see them all of the time.  It is evident that Jaime worships Jessica and that Jessica loves and respects Jamie.  Seven months ago they brought their son James Joseph Oelesis (JJ) home from the hospital and had him baptized shortly thereafter.   Jamie has exceeded all of my hopes as a husband to my daughter and I am honored to call him my son.

Life through them a curveball
A few weeks ago Jamie went in to see the doctor because he seemed to be continuously running out of breath.  The doctor was giving Jamie a treadmill but had to call it off in less than a minute because he was unable to continue.  Since then there have been a battery of tests culminating with a scope going up into his heart and lungs to see what was going on.

On Monday March 12th Jessica and Jamie went to see a specialist and get the results.  The news was not good.  Jaime has a significant size hole in his heart.  The left side of his heart is 3x the size of what it should be. Also there has been considerable damage to his lungs.  The damage to both of these organs is irreversible.  This week Jamie will begin taking medication to stop his condition from getting worse.  Jamie will be on oxygen for the rest of his life.

The kids have insurance but for some reason Jamie has been denied a portable oxygen system and is forced to drag a heavy bottle of oxygen everywhere he goes.  This really limts his ability to do things that most of us take for granted.

For all of the parents reading this you know what it is like to want to do something, anything to keep your kids from hurting.

I am asking all of you for help.  Please join our family by putting Jamie, Jessica and JJ in your prayers for God to perform a miracle.  While we wait for God to answer our prayers If you can find a way to contribute financially Jamie needs a Portable Oxygen Concentrator as soon as possible.  The cost is approximately $5,000.   Inogen G3 Freedom Package Portable Oxygen Concentrator
