Owen VonEsslinger College Fund

Owen VonEsslinger lost his father Chris unexpectedly on Aug. 1, 2018. In an effort to help Owen and his mother Lamar offset college expenses this Go Fund me has been established.
Owen's love of baseball started very young and his first fun event was winning the "King of Swat" home-run derby in Cooperstown as a 12 year old. As a freshman in high school, he led the Varsity Tigers in hitting.
Out of high school he was recruited to play for Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. It was directly across the Hudson from N.Y.C. and he was excited to experience the city. During this time he was in the top 3 for hitting despite an injury that kept him from playing his position of catcher. He maintained a 3.5 GPA and is pursuing his education in Exercise Science on his way to a Masters degree in Physical Therapy (MPT). He is entering Palm Beach Atlantic University as a junior and is excited to be catching for them after recovering from hip surgery last year.
He is focusing his classes to meet the prerequisites of St. Augustine college which is well respected for its MPT program. He knows his athletic experience and his time devoted to his unpaid internships with physical therapists and athletic trainers around the area will enhance his education.
