Marlien's Story ~
This campaign started in 2018 as Marlien was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and underwent chemotherapy treatments. In August of 2018 the cancer "was gone" her labs were great. Her family and friends celebrated each milestone that came with that - because YOLO (you only live once) so Celebrate when you can! The cancer stayed silent until the end of May 2019 when Marlien started having pain in her upper abdomen. By August 2019 the cancer was back with a vengeance. Marlien's faith and fight for her life just became stronger. She had no fear and made it all the way to the University of Washington to find some of the best treatments available. Marlien's last cancer treatment was in June 2020, she fought through to the end. July 1st 2020 Marlien was admitted to the hospital and lost her battle on July 15th 2020. Marlien told Harry in the last few days of her life "I'm not afraid to go, I'm just not ready to leave the party yet". Marlien was truly the life of the party. She had 7 grandkids whom she loved spending time with and being silly, laughing , and talking birds with them. We all love and miss her - and know one day will be together again.
The purpose of this campaign is to now support Harry with medical expenses and memorial/funeral expenses for Marlien.
We really appreciate your support and prayers!
