In early February, Karen and I were informed that I had a diagnosis of Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL). MCL is a rare, but in my case, aggressive form of cancer that attacks the lymph nodes and spleen. The survival rate is high, if caught early and based on test results, thankfully this seems to be the case for me.
There are several treatment options available, including naturopathic methods, targeted drugs or a blood marrow transplant with agressive chemotherapy. We are exploring all options and learning all we can to help us make the right decision for treatment.
Many of you have asked how you can help to support us. Prayers have been a significant part of our journey and your prayers are a vital part of the process - Thank You! For those that have said "what else can we do?" I've created a Go Fund Me page as another option to help. The funds will be used to offset expenses incurred during evaluation, treatment and recovery.
I'm excited to share what we have learned (and continue to learn) through this experience. Karen & my hope and desire is that God will use us as an instrument for others who have been diagnosed with cancer or any other illness.
