OUT OF SINT MAARTEN AND HEADED HOME

Out of Sint Maarten but not without their pets! Six days of denied transportation off the island because they refused to leave their cat and dog.

Hurricane Irma began to make landfall on Wednesday September 6, 2017. Alicia and Jeff Falcon thought they were safe. ACU Medical School, where Jeff is a medical student, opened 2 buildings for students, faculty and community members. Little did Alicia and Jeff know, their apartment was being destroyed by Irma. The university would end up in a dire state of emergency. After the hurricane, their #1 goal: make it home with their two pets. After losing all belongings in their apartment, being denied access to various modes of transportation, and having their luggage stolen, Alicia and Jeff have made it off Sint Maarten to St Kitts! They are on their way back to American soil!

So many of us posted on Facebook to provide emotional support for Alicia and Jeff during their journey From Sint Maarten to St Kitts. They have lost everything - they are coming home with the clothes on their back. Alicia and Jeff will be thanksful for your financial support as they rebuild their lives after this horrific experience.
