Prayers for McKenna Camposano

On July 6, 1990, Shelby (Karr) Camposano was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of two and a half years old. She went through chemotherapy for a very long four years. Her first day of kindergarten was also her last day of treatment. As she entered the 4th grade, she was released as a cancer patient by Shands two years early. If having cancer wasn't bad enough, she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis upon entering fifth grade. After years of trying to correct this with a back brace, the doctors decided that surgery was the only option. In 2007, Shelby underwent surgery to have metal rods placed in her back while attending school at Santa Fe Community College to pursue a career as an x-ray technician. It was there that she met the man of her dreams, Chris Camposano. The two married in March of 2013 at Reddington Beach, Florida. In June of 2014, Shelby gave birth to a sweet and healthy baby girl, Avery Lanae Camposano. Two and a half years later, Shelby gave birth to yet another beautiful girl, McKenna Jade Camposano, born on Christmas Eve 2016. Shelby delivered McKenna at 40 weeks and had a healthy, non-complicated pregnancy. Sadly, Chris and Shelby were given the news that McKenna was born with a rare condition called Anophthalmia/Microphthalmia (she was born without her left eye and her right eye is under developed ). According to the eye specialist, McKenna will more than likely never be able to see, and will be undergoing numerous surgeries as she grows. Shelby will not be going back to work in order to stay home and care for McKenna. Chris will be missing work as well in order to accompany Shelby to important doctor appointments and surgeries. All proceeds from this Go Fund Me account will go directly to Shelby and Chris to help pay medical bills, gas, and other expenses that McKenna will need. We know that God has had his hands on Shelby for her entire life and has helped her family through all of these trying times. She has been through so much, yet her faith in God never lessens.
