Our Super Teddy

Hi my name is Beth and I am fundraising for my little boy Teddy who is 2.5 years old.

On the 26th April we found out our little boy had a tumour on his cerebellum, after an emergency surgery to insert a drain into his head to remove the fluid build up. He then had two 6+ hour surgeries to remove the tumour. We've spent time with physios helping him walk again.

After spending three weeks in hospital we came home for a week, where we got a phone call saying we would be going back in for him to start his chemotherapy every other week for the next year. There's also a strong possibility we will need to have radiotherapy on his brain at some point as we aren't sure as to what type of tumour he has, all we know is that it's aggressive and fast growing.

Teddy has been an absolute superstar through all of this always smiling, demanding his favourite food pizza! And not letting anything stand in his way!

The decision has been made to start radiotherapy as we think the chemo will not work as well as we thought it would. He's been accepted for proton beam at the Christie. This means from the 22nd August for 6 and a half weeks Teddy will be put to sleep everyday so he can receive treatment. We've been told the side affects will include short term memory issues and more than likely loss of hearing on his left side.

I've set up this page to ask for help with travel costs/bills/ support as me and my husband are now on reduced wages.
