Our Jacks Crohn's & Colitis Disease Fund

So my little cousin Jack was diagnosed with Crohn’s and Colitis disease at the age of 14. He has been suffering for the last 11 years with this terrible illness. Crohn’s and Colitis disease effects the large and small intestine. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder that is associated with potentially physical symptoms, which in turn can have a substantial impact on a patients overall well being and quality of life. Ulcerative Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that cause long lasting inflammation and ulcers in the digestive track, which can also cause life threatening problems and lead into other serious diseases with age. Recently my cousins Bowel perforated which caused what was inside to enter his torso. He was taken to hospital immediately. He was rushed into theatre where they cut him open from his nipple line to just past his belly button. He had 20cm of his bowel removed, all his torso was cleaned of what was leaked out of his bowl and a life changing colostomy bag installed. He’s only 25 years of age. The doctors told him after the surgery if he waited any longer or didn’t come to hospital that he would of died. The list of medical expenses has built up and also with him being told to be off work for a long time things are hard at the moment.  He has to go through extensive Physiotherapy to learn to walk again. As a family member I am trying to help in any way I can. I will be doing a marathon in October and training weekly towards that goal, I will be donating money for every goal scored by my football team and clean sheet we have. I have never asked for anything in my life, any donation will help to go towards getting my cousins life back on track. Thanks
