Our home is wet and soggy

Wednesday evening (November 25th) we noticed some water pooled on the bathroom floor.We called a plumber who said they couldn’t come out until Friday. 1am on Thanksgiving we came down to see our ceiling had bubbled with water and was dripping into our living room. We called an emergency plumber who came out and shut off the water. 8am on Thanksgiving they came back out and supposedly fixed the leak. Friday morning a company came out to test for asbestos and brought mega fans to help dry the area. Saturday the asbestos test came back negative and they came out and ripped out drywall, flooring, my ceiling, etcetera. I’ll add more photos of everything that’s been ripped out. 

As of yesterday the company with the giant fans, QuickDry, found a spot that was getting more wet instead of dry. We had to bring the plumber back out. Today, they found that we haveto re-pipe the entire house. The pipes are old and carotid. Any “fix” they do will result in themcoming back within a few weeks. As they touch the pipes they are falling apart in their hands. 

Our home insurance will be covering the repair of drywall and access points. They do not cover any portion of the plumbing. We HATE to ask for help, but we really need it. During the peak of the Covid-19 shut down we went 5 months with no paycheck and lived off of our savings. Which leaves us with nothing to fall back on as of now. I know we are asking for a lot of help. We wouldn’t if we didn’t HAVE too. But we cannot afford to fix our home alone. :(
