Our Grad School Fund

Hey Everyone! For those of you that know Marvin and I made a leap of faith and moved to Dallas, TX the day after we got married. It has been a little over three years since we have lived out here and oh, how we love it (except for the summer weather). It was not long after moving to Texas that we began to hear people talk about Seminary School. Growing up in California and recently coming to faith in Jesus Christ, it was not something we heard often. However, after a few months of living here I gently told Marvin, "Hey, I think you should start looking into going to Seminary/Graduate." Oh, if you could have seen the look on his face, it was priceless. He said, "Sweetie stop talking like that I'm not going back to school." I left it alone but included it in my prayers every now and then. Then without me knowing the Lord started to place it on his heart and brought people into his life that either completed graduate school or were currently in a program. Finally, Marvin gave into the Lord's call and scheduled a meeting at Dallas Theological Seminary and before we knew it, Marvin was starting his first semester as a Graduate Student in the Masters of Christian Leadership fall of 2015. Saying yes to school was not easy but the legacy we're building and want to leave behind for our children is worth it.

If you cannot tell by reading this, I am one proud wife and supportive of the Lords call on his life. Marvin wears many hats; he is currently working full-time, a part-time student, mentors young men throughout the week and leads at Young Adult Ministry. This semester we have decided to take more classes in order to graduate sooner. Marvin has always been strong academically and has continued on that path since starting school again. With the increase in classes per semester come an increase in cost. We would greatly appreciate any contribution you have, whether that is $1, $20 or $100.
