Our Friend Shauna Needs Our Help!

Those of you who know Shauna Phelan know what kind of person she is... kind, selfless and giving. As a social worker, you know how much she has given back to the community of San Antonio. At her church she has sacrificed much and the kids love her to death.
Now, our friend Shauna needs our support!
On November 1, her father was diagnosed with throat cancer. The bright spot is that the doctors say this form of cancer responds very well to radiation/chemo therapy. But in order to receive the radiation, he needs a specialized medical apparatus made by a dental oncologist. Shauna has found a dental oncologist who is able to do the work but it will cost $6,000. Shauna's father's medical insurance does not cover any of it. A deposit of $1,700 is needed to get the apparatus made.
It is currently December 5, and she has not been able to raise the funds so far.
In addition, the chemo and hopefully most of the other medical procedures will be covered under the medical insurance but there will be a $5,000 deductible. And I'm sure there will be other costs involved, there certainly always is.
Our Shauna is trying to save her father's life. But the financial burdens that she must carry is overwhelming. She has been tempted to give up. You and I have the ability to lift her up! We can help save her father's life. Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
