First and foremost, the decision to start a GFM was not an easy one. In the current economic times, we understand that everyone has hardships, but this person is dear to our hearts and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, so we decided to intervene and help.

Hi I’m Melissa,

I’ve only known Dusty for a short time. But, over the past months, I’ve gotten to know an outstanding and genuinely selfless man who constantly puts others ahead of himself. He sees the world through a different lens, one of potential and inspiration. This is why I knew I needed to help when I saw him face unexpected hardship.

These past few months have been rough financially, and while people say, "just get a job," it is easier said than done. Many applications have been sent, and the hunt continues daily. During this time, bills are adding up. The struggle is hard to keep a phone line on to hear back from prospective job opportunities, not to mention rent, utilities, food, and gas.

The decision to become unemployed was not by choice. An unavoidable situation transpired, and the employer decided to let him go. He now faces uncertainty and potential eviction from his home.

We’ve created this GFM page to help Dusty during a challenging time. Our goal is to give a determined, diligent friend and brother a fighting chance to get back on his feet.

We also want to pay forward everyone’s kindness and generosity.

Any remaining GFM balance will be donated to Concho Valley Turning Point.
