Our Dear Dead Drug Lord

Hello!

My name is Pua Tanielu and I am a senior theatre management major at Syracuse University. This fall, I am producing and directing Our Dear Dead Druglord by Alexis Scheer.

The play centers around a group of four teenage girls in a Dead Leaders Club. This semester they are focusing on Pablo Escobar. Through thespian jokes, complex political conversations and snarky superficial gossip, Scheer tells a story about adolescents navigating a time of change in their lives and the extent to which they will go in order to obtain power— further exposing the dark corners of the teenage mind.

The company of Our Dear Dead Druglord is made up of all students. The money raised will go to costumes, set, lighting, and administrative support. This show is a product of our hardwork and dedication to our craft. This production is a love letter to young girls of color that we see you and we hear you.
