Seven Spokes children urgently need a new yurt!

Seven Spokes is a very special and unique autonomous, community, nature based, home-education provision, which uses the most appropriate methods of teaching and learning for its group of 11 children, based here in Frome Somerset.

Since its humble beginnings in January 2021, we have witnessed our children, some of them with special educational needs, learn, grow and thrive. We have a main education provider and two assistants always present with our children as they learn from the land via play, creative projects and storytelling, to name but a few.

Over the last year we have used a 15 year old, second hand, 20-foot yurt as our main space for learning. This structure is simply getting too small and is also too old for the long term life of the project. It was earlier this year when our current yurt was flattened by storm Eunice, and the funds we received back then were used to repair the old structure via Avalon Yurts.

We urgently need a further £3000 to help us purchase a brand new larger, and stronger yurt, from woodsmoke yurts.
