Welcome to Team E Autism Foundation. We are the Brewster Family. My name is Elizabeth Brewster and my husband Brett and I have 2 amazing boys, Wheeler and Everett. Everett is 8 years old and was diagnosed with Autism when he was 4. Wheeler is 15 years old, an amazing young man, who is the BEST big brother. We are raising money for Everett to receive an Autism Service Dog from the organization, Retrieving Freedom. We feel that a service dog will help Everett in the following ways.
1. Everett struggles with anxiety in many situations, and the constant comforting from a service dog can help alleviate much of his anxiety.
2. Everett has a tendency to quietly sneak off. This can be scary when in public settings. An autism service dog can be tethered to him and trained to help minimize the risk of him running off.
3. Everett struggles with connecting socially. An autism service dog can help bridge social connections with other people.
I would like to thank my coworkers for creating this foundation, giving us a platform to tell our story, and the support that lets me be the best mom I can to both of my boys. Also, there are no words to express our appreciation to our family whose love and support are unyielding.
