Other Worlds Games Needs Your Help

Dear friends and neighbors,
Like many other businesses right now, Other Worlds Games has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. As the owner and manager of Other Worlds Games I have started this GoFundMe campaign to help the store and it's employees not only get through this difficult time but to reach the other side strong and ready to return to all the activities you have come to know us by.
This April, 2020, was our 13th anniversary.
It is sobering that we began the month with this plea for help. I have worked very hard over the years to keep this business thriving. But nothing could have prepared us for this. Therefore, I am reaching out to you, the community that has grown to trust us and that we have grown to love so much. I am also reaching out to those who have known us in the past and moved on but know and appreciate what we provide to the lives of the youth that frequent our store. For all the kids who come in and pick up their first comic, for those who make new friends playing Magic or discover the fantasy worlds of D&D, this is for them and for future kids. I am asking everyone for your help as we struggle through this unbelievable time and hopefully recover from this crisis.
What will I use the funds for?
As many of you know, we have been forced to stop all of our community events and close our doors to full sales ability. To minimize exposure, I have decreased our hours to 4 days per week. Overall, this crisis has significantly impacted the store's revenue.
Any and all funds I can generate from this campaign will be used to help pay our rent, our employees, other fixed costs, distributors and other operating costs. Importantly, it will help me to hold on to our wonderful staff of employees. Our landlord is being generous during this time but they too, have landowner costs that must be paid.
What can you do?
I would really appreciate it if you can help us meet our goal and to share this campaign with at least 3 of your friends.
When we are allowed to host events again, and if we can outlast the shutdown, we will need ALL of our staff back as we try to return to offering regular weekly Magic and D&D events. I also hope to resume our kid's Summer Magic/D&D Camps, which I suspect we will ALL desperately need as we try to return to some sort of new normal. After all the home-schooling that will be going on for the foreseeable future, the kids will NEED a place like ours, and the parents will also need a place they can trust for their kids to go.
