Trina Arnold will be a survivor!

        On Dec 20, 2014 Trina went for a regular mammogram, with no signs, no lumps....she thought nothing of it.

        On Jan 5, 2015 she went to the doctor and heard those words " You have CANCER". They gave her the options to remove the lump or remove one or both breasts.

       On January  29, 2015 she went into surgery and statistically removing both breasts, her chances of this spreading was little to none. There was no question in her mind both breasts had to go to save her life.

           During surgery they removed her node. Trina donated her breast for CANCER researchers to help find out anything they could about this non discriminating disease, after all Trina is a married mother of 2. She's healthy, happy, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink and had NO family history of cancer. Why her?

     We thought it was all over after going through life changing surgery. During her recovery just a few weeks later she was told to go in for a check up, which is when she heard " the cancer spread into the sentinal node ".  Now the road we thought was almost over just got longer.............
A year longer!

         I went with Trina to her apt last week where they told her the treatment options. They start March 26, 2015.

        Trina now has 3 rounds of chemo, 12 rounds of another treatment, pills which she will have to take for at least 5 years to be followed with 6 weeks of daily radiation.

        Trina is now off for a minimum of 9 months and her EI will end in a month. Dealing with regular bills, mortgages, prescriptions, wigs, kids activities ect.
Having cancer her and her family shouldn't have to worry about money.
They need to focus on making sure she's a survivor not a statistic.

         I will be doing weekly updates for those who wish to follow a story of a survivor as that's her only choice!
