Help Aaron get to the NCAA tourney!

Beschermde donatie
My name is Aaron Dodson and I am a senior journalism major and history minor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from Glenn Dale, Md. I'm an aspiring sports writer and have written for The Daily Heel, UNC's student newspaper, for almost three and a half years. I now serve as a UNC football, men's basketball and baseball beat writer for the DTH.

There's only one thing left on my bucket list for my last 60 or so days as a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. And it's not even to graduate (Don't tell my mom this!). What comes first is the most wonderful time of the year: March Madness. I've always loved the NCAA Tournament and, since my freshman year at UNC, my ultimate bucket list item has been to cover a North Carolina men's basketball team's tournament run for The Daily Tar Heel.

Usually, the DTH sends three people to the tournament — two sports writers and a photographer. But this year, due to budget limitations, we'll only be sending one writer. The paper's sports editor, Grace Raynor, will be going. She and I call ourselves "The Dream Team." This basketball season, we covered UNC-Kentucky, UNC-Louisville home and away, UNC-N.C. State away and UNC-Duke at home together among countless other games spanning different sports. We're hoping for one last basketball ride with each other before we graduate — wherever the bracketologists take UNC and wherever you guys would be willing to help me go!

All proceeds will be put toward purchasing airfare for the duration of UNC's run in the tournament.
