Several years ago, I found myself in an incredibly bad situation, both financially and emotionally. Through the help of some wonderful friends, I was able to right the ship and sail on.
Once again I find myself on very turbulent seas, and am reaching out for that life preserver. (Enough with the sailing metaphors. I'm making myself seasick.)
Last November I suffered a slight TIA, and while there were no serious effects, my company refused to let me return to work for several weeks. In my business, there is no sick pay. I was set back quite a bit due to that, but managed to continue. In March of this year I found myself hospitalized twice, the second time for Pulmonary Embolisms. I was in for several weeks, and once again, the company refused to let me return to work, even though I was cleared by my Doctors. I had to wait for a doctor that the company chose to examine me. I received no income for over a month.
Most of you know this story. I am forced to once again ask for assistance. I wrestled with this for quite some time, but realized that I had to do something, otherwise I would find myself living in my car. Who knew, at 62, I would be in a situation like this.
I would be eternally grateful for any help that I'm able receive through this venue.
