Orphaned Children Need Help Coming Back To Canada

On May 12, 2023 Eric (11) and Kieth (7) suddenly became orphans when both their parents passed away while in the Philippines. Both boys are Canadian residents who are currently staying with family in the Philippines but they passports and visas have expired. They are unable to access government funding or services as they are minors who have no legal guardian in Canada. I have reached out to a few different branches of the federal government but there is no clear path to get these children any immediate help.

The family desperately needs money to hire a Canadian lawyer to settle the estate, pay for burial expenses, return to Canada and try to get on with their lives.

I met the family after I struck up a friendship with their father while we worked together as scaffolders. I know the boys are extremely smart and could have a good future ahead of them. Since the parents passed away so suddenly out of country the family is unaware of any funeral plans or insurance that was set up in the event of a tragedy like this. Due to the boys young age they are unaware of any insurance policies or wills that maybe in place that could help them. Please donate whatever you can as every single nickel would help
