Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Hearts and Hands Kids, and any donation will help make an impact. Hearts and Hands Kids is a unique orphanage concept. We are a mixture of foster care and a traditional orphanage.
A Little History:
Nicole Brayden Gifts founded the orphanage and have fully funded the charity for many years. We recently had a few of our children adopted, but we can handle up to 16 kids in this home. Hearts and Hands Kids is an approved 501c3 charity, founded in the USA, and to date the orphanage has been 100% supported through the sales of our brands. For that I want to thank our customers and sales teams who have helped us to grow the orphanage through the sales of our products.
When we are given responsibility for a child, we are not looking for a home. We are giving them one. A traditional home with a mom, dad, and a whole bunch of brothers from the age of 6 months or older. We give these kids a big, wonderful, and joyful home and as long as they stay with us, they will be raised as our own.
What we do:
We are not intended to be a traditional orphanage. We are different. We don’t bring kids into a large, sterile, group home. We create a home and have a mom and dad working in the home. They are committed to staying and raising these kids long term. The kids will call them mom and dad and each other brother.
This is more like foster care than an orphanage but our kids do occasionally get adopted. Our commitment to the kids is to raise them in a traditional family, give them traditional values and expectations, teach them and care for them, give them faith and a love of God, and to educate them and put them through college or a job training program when the time comes. We accomplish much of this with the help and support of a Church in the Dominican Republic. They are our boots on the ground and the congregation is fully vested in our efforts to help bring these kids from poverty and despair to hopeful and loving members of society.
Our up front commitment to every boy we take is that we will raise them, educate them, provide health care, and bring them to church.
Historically we have not promoted or talked a lot about the orphanage because I have always believed that this is something we do because it is in our hearts. That being said, today I feel like our country and world are looking for ways to give back and support charities now that COVID is slowing and people are thankful to be alive and free. I feel like letting people know the charity exists and that their purchases and support of the company has helped us to maintain and grow the charity is a good thing and giving those who haven't heard about us before the chance to help the kids directly through donation is the most wonderful gift for these kids.
If it is in your heart to help these kids through a direct donation, I want to assure you of the following.
1. 100% of donations will go to the orphanage.
2. No operating expenses, or administration expenses will ever be deducted from a direct donation.
3. All donations will go directly to the care and feeding of the kids.
4. As a 501c3 charity your donations in the USA should be 100% tax deductible (but please confirm with your accountant).
Thank you for your time and your donation.
